The fastest Subaru is probably the Impreza WRX.  The engines are 275 - 300 horsepower.  And they're very tuner-friendly.



They've only been around for a few years though, so getting one inexpensive is hard.  The regular Impreza can be gotten for cheap and can still be tuned.  They're in the 100 - 150 horsepower range.

Probably Petter Solberg's WRC car. But any WRX STi can be taken up to about 450bhp and still be driveable on normal roads.

Oh! Oh! got a better answer...... any Scooby driven by a builder!

i own a 06 subie. and i love it i stroked it to 2.73litre and put a 60 trim turbo, injectors and other goodies. i dont drive it everyday b/c gas prices, but shitt its fast i love AWD and will never own a car without it.
