can you do any of it yourself? It would sure save a ton of $$

I have found that you really do get what you pay for about 99% of the time.  I have a friend that is a mechanic who will do stuff for me for free .... sometimes he saves my life. But ....  he cuts corners and his quality of workmanship is not always the best. Depending upon the nature of the repair .... it is ok.

On the other hand ... I found a fantastic mechanic that never cuts corners ever ... uses factory parts on my car ... and also charges me $80 and hour. BUT .... I NEVER have to worry about his workmanship ... and I NEVER have to take anything back to him.

So ..................  it depends upon the labor charge as to how much $$ will it cost ...... I guess the point of my story, is that it is cheaper to get it done by the correct person one time ... instead of going back again to fix someone else's mistakes ....

anyways ...... if all you are doing is spark plugs and wires ... stuff like that, you may be able to do those things yourself and save a lot ... then take it in and have the other more complex stuff done by a good shop.

just food for thought .....

I'll bet about the same as any car, which isn't cheap. You can learn to maintain and repair some things yourself or earn money in your profession to pay for it. Suit yourself.
