go to any rally cross meeting and you see evos and scoobies eaten and by the likes of rover metros, ford fucus and everything else out there. everyone seems to wonder round wearing their subaru jackets, to be honest i'd be embarest when you see them getting lapped on the track. off the track my tuned MG ZS 2.5 V6 not only looks sooooo much better but it leaves the afore mentioned escort look alikes for dead dispite beeing 2 wheel drive. my theory is that on play station games evos and scoobies are portrayed as good cars. anyone else realised?

No one else has realised this because we, i'm sorry to say are in the real world. The rover metro has always been a serious force to be dealt with in the rally world as with the focus. I own a 200bhp honda and on occasion I have beaten imprezzas and even evos, this is because they were not racing me. I have also been left for dead by a pug 106, as it was well tuned. I assure you if you came across a imprezza or evo with tunning simmilar to yours there would be no contest at all, ever. No sorry. Evo and imprezza 1- MG 0, and liquidated.

Ive driven and Impreza Turbo and the engine was chipped to give out about 100 more bhp than standard.  I must say 1st and 2nd especially gave a lot of power but in 5th there seems to be nothing there.

You dont seem to know much, especially how to spell 'impretsers', its actually Impreza's

So, Your tuned car beat 2 cars that were probably not tuned. Why do You think that is? Some people really have no common sense, I despair, I really do.

who cares? as long as they look good! its the really ugly cars that have to go fast, the best looking cars go much more sedately so that every one can enjoy the view! the ugly cars fly by coz they know they are naff!

What a naive view.  If you have all the money to spend on a tuned car, perhaps you could spend a little on an english course!

The MG ZS is a fantastic front driver, indeed it is the pick of the MG range for useable performance.  But as for beating imprezza's and evo's, you really don't stand much of a chance when the hammers down.  You're giving away 100bhp and by the very nature of it being FWD you'll never hustle it round a corner as quick as a 4WD.  It's dynamically impossible.

And for the record, I own an MG.
