I'm 17 and I've had my license for a year. My mom is finally starting to consider letting me get a car. My best friends dad has a 1990 Nissan Pulsar NX he's willing to sell me. He wants to take a good look at it first, but he just tuned it up a few months ago. He wouldn't sell it to me if it was in poor condition. He's selling it to me for $300, since I've known his family for 15 years. My sister warned me that Pulsars are bad cars, but my friend's dad has driven his to and from work (at least 70 miles) for many years, and it has remained solid. He changed the engine, some minor parts, and the tires a few months ago. This is a good buy right? The car is small, I imagine it wouldn't use too much gas. I'm not sure though. Here's a picture of an identical make.

I had a pulsar as a starter car, and had no problem with it. People might say its a bad car, but for the price ur getting it, its not a bad deal..

parts are cheap for that car. an for 3 bills u can use it to go to an from wrk till u make more money to get a better car..

Adv.. its a small crowed so u dont have to werry about everyone just hitting u up for a ride....

hey it seems like a perfect first car

its cheap, and you know it was maintained well

and that car is pretty old, meaning parts are cheap, plus if your friends dad knows how to fix it himself, he could help you if it eevr broke down.

I had a pulsar as a beater car, it got 27 mpg, smoked, burned oil, suspension was shot, but still fired up everyday and got me to work.  For 300 you can't go wrong.

Um sure, I wouldn't buy it myself, but thats me. Reason I wouldn't buy it is 'cause they are crappy, old, and unreliable. I've seen it on pimp my ride, and like xibit said, they even suck when they are new. and that it means a fallen star, or something like that. Well, get it if its cheap to repair and stuff, but expect it to fall apart and break. Then you'd need a new car, go on google and search reviews of the car. $300, is a good price, but like i said its not gonna last long. Also, dont expect friends to ride with you in that bucket, lol, sry if im a bit negative.
