i would, and my reasons are; 1)it was incredibly fast out of the box, and could be tuned for alot more. 2)unlike the hemi (which i will admit is faster), it was very STREETABLE...it did not overheat, foul plugs, or have a temperamental powerband 3)it was SIMPLE. all you had was one carter 4 barrel to tune, nothing "gimmicky".



i know alot of ppl will say the hemi was the best, and on the track, it really was....but i am talking about on the STREET, where it really mattered. what do you say?

i already KNOW the hemi was a 426, and any musclecar guy would realize this.

I believe it was the 426 hemi., but actually the 1970  LS6 454.

Well I had both 440 magnum and 426 hemi 392 Hemi



Yes it was 440 magnum with carter 4 barrel Cabs belive it or not I put it in a Duster

Actually it was the 383 Magnum, it was everything the 440 was and got better gas mileage! Had a Holley four barrel with the four speed.

If your talking about the 2nd best that was the 440. Apparently you must never have seen a 426 Hemi when it was outside a car. It looks like the best.
