Vice President, Marketing, The Michaels Organization
As Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing, Laura Zaner has primary responsibility for creating and implementing comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations programs that showcase The Michaels Organization’s national leadership in the finance, development, and management of residential real estate. She leads the overall branding effort for the organization, while providing strategic marketing expertise to each of the organization’s eight companies, as well as its non-profit educational foundation.
Prior to joining The Michaels Organization in 2009, Ms. Zaner served as a vice president of marketing at the National Association of Home Builders, where she was responsible for marketing the association’s member services to the multifamily and seniors housing industries. In that role, she managed the development and implementation of policy initiatives and oversaw the department’s media relations program. Before being named a vice president at NAHB in 2001, Ms. Zaner served as communications director for NAHB’s multifamily division. Prior to that, she served as a senior editor for Custom News, and wrote extensively about real estate and housing issues.
