In this role, Caminiti assumes lead responsibility for Michaels’ affordable housing investment portfolio
The Michaels Organization, a national leader in residential real estate, is pleased to announce that Eric Caminiti has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Investment Management. In this role, Caminiti will have primary oversight for all of Michaels’ affordable housing investments, which comprise more than 50,000 apartment units across the country.
Most recently, Caminiti served as a Vice President, in which he oversaw a portfolio of affordable as well as military and market-rate assets.
“Throughout his time at Michaels, Eric has become an integral part of the Investment Management team, consistently leveraging his expertise and knowledge to protect the affordability and viability of each community in his portfolio,” said Erik Roberson, Executive Vice President of Investment Management. “I look forward to the continued leadership he will bring to this well-deserved promotion and new role.”
In addition to the day-to-day investment management operations for Michaels’ affordable assets, Caminiti will work closely with Michaels’ Acquisitions and Property Management teams in order to assess new business ventures, verify underwriting assumptions, plan and execute large-scale capital improvements, and recapitalize assets.
Caminiti joined Michaels in 2021 as a Senior Asset Manager and was then promoted to Vice President in 2023. Before joining Michaels, he served as a Senior Asset Manager at CRC Companies, where he was responsible for military housing development, asset planning, operations oversight, forecasting, contract negotiation, as well as underwriting and due diligence for new acquisition opportunities.
Caminiti earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce.
