In May of 2022, Michaels Construction Field teams participated in a National OSHA Safety Stand-Down.
This voluntary event raises awareness for falls and related hazards in an effort to prevent fatalities and injuries. Through various safety activities, discussions, and trainings, employees were given the opportunity to discuss best practices, Michaels’ safety goals, and identify any potential fall risks or other hazards that they are aware of.
OSHA partners that make this educational event possible include the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA), OSHA approved State Plans, State consultation programs, the Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR), the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), the National Safety Council, the National Construction Safety Executives (NCSE), the U.S. Air Force, and the OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Centers.
The discussions and activities held at the Stand-Down will ensure our Michaels Construction teams are up to date on all safety procedures set in place and are prepared to put an end to preventable injuries and fatalities.
