The Michaels Military Development team has successfully completed Dogue Creek Village, a 40-home infill development at Fort Belvoir, VA. The development – designed by Torti Gallas + Partners and constructed by CBG Building Company – includes 34 townhomes, 6 adaptable homes, a fitness center, and enhanced public greenspace, significantly improving the quality of on-post housing for the service members and their families stationed at Fort Belvoir.
The community, which is located in Fairfax County, VA, is a quick 30-minute drive from The Pentagon and the heart of Washington, DC. The new homes in Dogue Creek Village comprise of 3- and 4-bedroom residences, boasting smart Nest thermostats, dual-zone split HVAC systems, EnergyStar stainless steel appliances, private patios with fenced backyards, and achieve LEED Silver compliance. Additionally, the new homes, developed as part of a long-term strategic out-year development plan by Michaels in collaboration with the Army, will significantly reduce the officer housing waitlist on-post which currently stands at 2+ years.
