WHAT: Mayor Domenic Sarno, The Michaels Organization and MassHousing will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the revitalization of the Bergen Circle housing community

The Michaels Organization, the owners and manager of the 201-unit Bergen Circle Apartments, has completed approximately $17 million in property renovations to the eight-building affordable housing community in Springfield’s McKnight neighborhood.
MassHousing provided Michaels with a $13.3 million construction and permanent loan and a $7.9 million repair loan. The improvements included building envelope repairs and water infiltration remediation, the installation of new windows, flooring and appliances, kitchen,
bathroom, and HVAC upgrades, and replacing sanitary and water risers on the midrise building.
Also participating will be Rep. Bud Williams, MassHousing VP of Multifamily Programs Mark Teden, Michaels Vice President Jed Henderson, and a Bergen Circle resident.
