New  Community will bring 58 high-quality, affordable apartment homes to Union County 

The Honorable Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe will join the Rahway City Council and project partners, including the County of Union and the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, along with Foresight Affordable Housing, Inc. (developer), and The Michaels Organization (development consultant), for a ceremonial groundbreaking of Esterbrook Senior Residences on Tuesday, April 14. The ceremony will mark a major milestone in the City’s ongoing commitment to expanding affordable housing for seniors.

Esterbrook Senior Residences will provide a high-quality, affordable housing community for seniors, particularly those seeking to stay in the area, while enjoying a maintenance-free, amenity-rich lifestyle. The development will feature modern, ADA-compliant units built with accessibility, comfort, and safety in mind. Amenities will include a community room, fitness room, and on-site social service and health office. Construction is estimated to be complete in the Summer of 2027.
