Michaels Donates To Ukrainian Relief Fund

FILED TO: What's New

All during April, Michaels has been sponsoring a fundraising effort for the victims of the war in Ukraine, with our teammates donating needed items for war victims and refugees.  As part of this fundraiser, Michaels made a $10,000 donation to the United Ukrainian American Relief Effort. The check was presented by Senior Vice President Chuck Durnin to a member of the Ukrainian Church who serves on the Board for Ascension Manor, an affordable housing community in Philadelphia, where Michaels has served as the property management for more than four decades.  Ascension Manor is owned by the Church. Michaels $11 million renovation of Ascension Manor in Philadelphia helped to revitalize the historic landmark for seniors and those with disabilities in the community. The renovation came at a time when the need for quality affordable housing in the area was more important than ever. Preserving the affordability of Ascension Manor while ensuring that the improvements provided a modern, comfortable environment that enhanced residents’ quality of life was always critical to Michaels’ renovation plan.
