The Michaels Organization is pleased to announce the promotion of Mohsin Azmi from Director to Vice President of Acquisitions.
In this new role, Azmi will continue to lead acquisitions across the Southeast United States and will expand his focus by collaborating with teammates on Project-Based Section 8 opportunities nationally. His leadership, expertise, and consistent contributions have been instrumental to the success of Michaels’ acquisitions platform, and this promotion reflects both his impact and his continued growth within the organization.
Azmi joined Michaels in 2021 and has played a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions across affordable, workforce, and student housing. With more than a decade of experience in real estate, Azmi has participated in over $2.3 billion in transactions. Prior to Michaels, he held leadership roles at Newmark Knight Frank, KeyBank Real Estate Capital, and CBRE, where he specialized in acquisitions, portfolio strategy, debt and equity financing, and large-scale real estate transactions.
A graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology and Construction Management, Azmi also holds a Master of Science in Building Construction and Integrated Facility Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
