Michaels Names New Management Vice President

Michaels Management is pleased to announce the promotion of Regional Property Manager Takieya Renfro to Regional Vice President. As Regional Vice President, Takieya will have primary responsibility for Michaels affordable properties in Mississippi and Alabama.

Takieya began her career at Michaels as a Community Manager in Chicago in 2009. Over the years, she has successfully leased and managed several communities in Chicago and Montgomery, Alabama. In 2018, she accepted the role of Regional Property Manager for the Southern Region of Mississippi, managing 17 properties.

With 17 years of experience in property management and affordable housing, Takieya is a self-starter who is results-driven. She possesses great leadership skills and a deep knowledge of affordable programs.

In 2019, Takieya was selected as one of Michaels' Achievers -- an annual honor that recognizes the particularly outstanding performance and contributions of 30 teammates from across the organization. She is a current member of the Regional Leaders’ Advisory Committee and holds Certified Occupancy Specialist, Tax Credit Specialist, and Blended Occupancy Specialist certifications. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management.
