Michaels Welcomes New Managing Vice President Of Development

The Michaels Organization is pleased to welcome Kevin Mysliwiec as our new Managing Vice President of Development. In this role, Kevin will be responsible for overseeing the development team in the Southeast and Texas markets, and will work to expand Michaels' strategic growth throughout these rapidly expanding markets.

Kevin brings over 17 years of experience in real estate and a wide set of skills in asset management, development, investment finance, municipal collaboration, community outreach, and specialty partnerships to the Michaels team. Prior to joining Michaels, Kevin most recently served as Senior Director of Development for Blackstone’s retail portfolio, Shopcore, where he led the transformation of 20th century retail centers into mixed-use assets. Before this, he served as Director of Development at Starwood Capital Group.

Kevin has also previously worked as Senior Vice President of Development, Finance, and Asset Management for Prism Development where he performed planning, production, evaluation, finance, and execution of development for mixed-use projects. Before this, Kevin led the execution of consulting engagements for real estate asset advisory to multinational Fortune 100 clients as Vice President in the Strategic Consulting Group for Jones Lang LaSalle.

Kevin holds his Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois and his MBA in Analytical Finance and Entrepreneurship from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
