Sandy Cipollone, Senior Vice President of Management has been awarded the 2022 Walter E. Kreher Distinction in Housing Award from The New Jersey Affordable Housing Management Association (JAHMA).

Originally named the Pioneer in Affordable Housing Award, our founder Michael J. Levitt was the first recipient of this award in 2007. Now named for the late Walter E. Kreher who served as the Director of HUD’s Newark Multi-Family Division from 1998 until his passing in 2014, this award is given annually to a JAHMA member that has devoted much of their life to the affordable housing industry – just as Sandy has.

Sandy first started her journey with Michaels in 1983 and has since had an undeniable impact on our organization. Today, she has responsibility for more than 5,400 units in 60 communities and oversees four District Property Managers. She also currently serves with The National Affordable Housing Management Association and continues to mentor teammates and raise donations for The Michaels Organization Education Foundation by organizing the annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser each year. Throughout her career, Sandy has also been a national speaker on Fair Housing and the former President of JAHMA.
