Matt Sullivan brings with him over 15 years of asset management experience

September 2, Camden, NJ-- The Michaels Organization, a national leader in residential development with full-service capabilities in development, management, finance and construction, announced today that it has expanded its senior leadership team, welcoming Matt Sullivan, as Executive Vice President of Asset Management.

As Executive Vice President of Asset Management, Matt has lead responsibility for overseeing Michaels' asset management platform across its military, student, affordable, and market rate portfolios. Michaels currently manages 60,000 rental units across all market segments and in 35 states, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“We are thrilled to welcome Matt to the Michaels family,” said Michaels’ CEO John O’Donnell.  “His deep experience and leadership skills will guide our asset management operations to the next level as we continue our major growth through both development and acquisitions.” 

As a member of Michaels Senior Leadership team, Matt will report directly to the COO. He will be based in Camden, where Michaels is headquartered. 

Matt comes to Michaels from CRC Companies, where he served as Managing Director of Asset Management and Capital Markets and was responsible for asset planning, forecasting, recapitalization, contract negotiation, and refinancing for the CRC portfolio. In addition to his more than 15 years of asset management experience, Matt has successfully closed nearly $1 billion of acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing of market-rate, affordable, office, and retail projects. 

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration from The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Princeton University.
