Holly Pointe Commons is comprised of two interconnected buildings and is set back from the surrounding roadways, nestled into the existing natural landscape, and surrounded by a rain garden to serve as both a visual buffer and an environmentally sensitive storm water management strategy. A 500-seat dining facility overlooking historic Abbott’s Pond anchors the western wing. The entire development not only fosters a focus on academics, but also drives a sense of community and belonging among the student residents.
The buildings themselves are designed and constructed to achieve a minimum of LEED Silver certifiable standard; target is LEED Gold.
